Common cosmetic dentistry procedures
Dr. Munira Lokhandwala and the team of StarBrite Dental of Fremont are committed to helping others in improving the aesthetics of their smile. This is why they provide not only general and restorative dentistry but cosmetic dentistry procedures for new and current patients. Our team works closely with patients to determine what they would like to achieve with their smile and develops a treatment plan best suited for their specific needs and budget.
At StarBrite Dental, we offer a myriad of cosmetic dentistry procedures to assist our patients in achieving the smile they’ve always wanted. Dr. Munira Lokhandwala can work with individuals and combine a variety of treatments which may include:
At StarBrite Dental, we offer both full and partial dentures. Both have their place in restorative dentistry. Partial dentures are best for individuals who are dealing with the loss or extraction of just one tooth, or several, within the dental arch. Full dentures work best for individuals with an entire arch missing.
Dental crowns are used in both general and cosmetic dentistry. They are not only used to protect natural teeth from damage, but they can be utilized in the fabrication of dental bridges (for replacing teeth) and for covering an abutment of a dental implant to act as a false tooth. Crowns are made in-office with our CEREC technology for same-day restorations.
Dr. Munira Lokhandwala offers several orthodontic alternatives in her practice including Invisalign and Six Month Smiles. These are effective ways of straightening the teeth without the use of traditional metal brackets and wires.
Replacing a missing tooth is easy with dental implants which look and function just the same. Dental implants use the bone of the jaw to stabilize a metal post that is restored over the top with a crown to act as a false tooth. This is the “gold standard” in restorative dentistry for tooth replacement.
Ceramic restorations such as veneers can be bonded over the front of a natural tooth to disguise imperfections that make patients feel self-conscious about their appearance. They are effective, long-lasting, and stain-resistant.
Brighten the smile quickly and easily with professional teeth whitening. These bleaching methods are stronger and much more effective than anything available to patients over-the-counter.
