Will I feel any pain?
No. You will feel nothing! 90% of our patients have little or no recollection of the time from when they came to our office to when they walk out.

Will I be unconscious?
No, you will be in a deeply relaxed state, and you will be responsive.

Will I be monitored?
Yes, one of our team is always with you and your vital signs are monitored during the entire visit. You are never alone.

How long will I be snoozing?
Depending on your needs, from two to six hours.

Will someone need to accompany me?
Yes, due to the sedative effects of the medication, you will need someone to drive you to our office and home again.

Will my insurance cover treatment?
We'll review your insurance coverage and, if necessary, make financial arrangements to insure you get the dental care you need.

Oral Sedation Dentistry protocols have been used safely for over 30 years with millions of dental procedures. Before starting any treatments, in the very first office visit, Dr Lokhandwala will review your medical history and explain how Sedation Dentistry can work for you.

We want you to feel good about going forward towards a healthy, new smile. On the day of your appointment, you'll take medication - a pill, then a companion will take you to the office. Our experienced clinical team members and Dr. Lokhandwala will make certain that you're relaxed and completely comfortable and they monitor you very closely while you're sedated. Many patients feel NO DISCOMFORT whatsoever during and after treatment, and have little or no memory of the visit.

When you leave our office you will be awake and will walk out with your companion who will drive you home. Typically most patient will relax or sleep once they are home and awake in most cases completely unaware of the dental treatment they have received. Depending on the work performed, Dr. Lokhandwala may prescribe other medications such as Antibiotics or Painkillers as required.
